Jonathan Isaac: A Unicorn on the Defensive End (Part 2)

A Steve Nash Appreciation Post

Steve Nash is one of the best point guards to ever play the game of
basketball. Possibly the greatest ever player to come out of Canada. A two-time NBA MVP. 3rd all-time NBA assists leader. One of the best shooters we have ever seen, accomplished 50-40-90 shooting percentage many times during his great career.

Steve Nash was a pleasure to watch. He was very selfless and all about team basketball. He cared for the team. He got everyone involved with his passing. he played and ran some of the best offensive teams we have ever seen while he was on the Suns.
It’s sad that Nash will probably never make the NBA Finals, he will be the first MVP who doesn’t reach the Finals. He is one of the greats of the game and will truly be missed. I think everyone at one point would have loved to play with Steve because he gets everyone involved.
Despite his lack of postseason success, Steve Nash revolutionized the game of basketball. He, under coach Mike Dantoni, were the pioneers of the spread pick and roll offense that dominates our game today. Without Steve's 7 second or less Suns there is no 73-9 Warriors team. There is no Steph without Nash. Nash was truly revolutionary and partially ahead of his time. I mean imagine if he was playing in today's NBA, with teams shooting the amount of 3s that they are, he would have been unstoppable.
Sure Steve Nash did not have the best time in the post season but he was in the era of the Kobe's Lakers, Duncan's Spurs and Dirk's Mavs. He was in a dominant Western Conference and the game had not evolved like today, 3s were still looked down upon. However, I believe Steve Nash is still a Hall of Famer and one of the best point gaurds to play the game.
In my opinion, there is no doubt Steve Nash is a first ballot Hall of Famer
