Spurs vs. Grizzlies Post Game 2

The Spurs dominate in game 2. They look like a while oiled machine ready to take in the Warriors. Kawhi proving to everyone he is a superstar of the highest level. People were doubting him as he hasn’t really played well as the leader on a playoff team but, oh boy is he dominating. The Spurs supporting cast is clicking and ready to win. Before the series started everyone said this would be a competitive series but it isn’t done.

Get the brooms out or at most it’s done in 5. The Spurs are too good, too deep, and have the best player in the series. Yes, the Grizzlies did beat them in 2011 in the 1-8 matchup, but Manu was not healthy, Kawhi was not even half the player he is now, Tony and Tim were both aging. After that 1-8 upset the Spurs have dominated the Grizzlies. Beating them in the conference finals, sweeping them last year and now up 2-0 this series. The Spurs are just too good and will take care of business in this first round series. There’s not even a lot to write about in this series. Both play a grit and grind style and sometimes it’s just ugly basketball. The series is going to Memphis and they do play at well at home so it can be a challenge. However, the Spurs are the best road team in the NBA. It will be very difficult for the Grizzlies to win 2 games at home. The injury to Tony Allen as he was going to be guarding Kawhi. He’s one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, a scrappy player. He wasn’t going to stop Kawhi but could at least try to slow him down. So, I think that injury might have cost them a game in this series because Kawhi is eating them alive. Series over in 5. See you in the 2nd round Houston/OKC.
