Jonathan Isaac: A Unicorn on the Defensive End (Part 2)

Trouble in the Bay?

Just a short time ago the Warriors were an NBA dynasty running the league with no end in sight. With 5 All-Stars, 2 MVP candidates, a DPOY candidate and finals MVP Andre Iguodala the Dubs were stacked and everyone thought they would run through the entire league. After some key injuries to Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Boogie Cousins, they were finally dethroned to Kawhi and the Raptors in the 2019 NBA Finals. An awkward rift had been created between KD and the rest of the Warriors from the media and fans. Durant always seemed as an outsider compared to Steph, Dre, Klay and the rest of the crew. The Warriors going all the to the finals without KD really sealed the fate of him moving teams in the off-season. With KD gone, Klay injured, Iggy traded the Warriors super team is gone, and with that the dynasty is over.

3 NBA Championships, 5 Finals appearances, 73 Win Season, 16-1 Playoff run.

Now sure the dynasty is over but could they win another one in the near future: YES!

Now the Warriors started the season on the other side of the spectrum getting blown out by the Clippers and the Suns. Yes the Suns. The Suns are now blowing out the Warriors, oh how the league has changed. Now some people have absolutely written them off because of this 2 game sample size. People tend to forget 2-time MVP Steph Curry is still on this team, DPOY Draymond Green is still there and all star D-LO. Now are they title contenders, NO. However, they are not as bad as it seems. They have some nice young pieces who need to learn the Warriors system. As they get back to full strength and build cohesion amongst themselves they will get better. Oh and Killa Klay is coming back too.

So I know it hurts to watch these games from Dubs fans but just get through this tough patch.

Minor setback for a major comeback.

Update: Steph injured, the season is over. Tanking time, see the Dubs at the draft.
